I'm Still Here

Truth be told, I have not been blogging for awhile.. I have actually not been doing anything much exciting to blog about in awhile.. Ok, let me rephrase that, I have not been doing anything much exciting a few weeks ago.. So there was practically no pictures or any interesting thing to talk about.. Well, unless you don't mind reading about me fretting about lab work over and over again, about the mess I am in, and about all the paper work I have to do..

Anyway, just a short post for today.. And you'll see more picture post in the days to come.. I hope to keep you guys entertained (for those remnants that still view my blog, that is..).. Stay tune.. =)

Struggling

Wondering why I have disappeared yet again? For the past 2 weeks I have been sleeping way pass midnight and waking up before 6am every single day. When I reach university, I dump my bag and head straight to the lab and start my hectic day. I don't have time for lunch, always end up either making my friends wait for me for a long long time or end up eating take aways in during 15 mins experiment waiting time. At the end of the day, I rush home, and start working on my slides till midnight. Finally, I let my supervisor check my slides yesterday, but after supervisor checks it, she said, " Your presentation slides got no content." T_____________T

And to top things up, I am sick!!! What shit is this?!

Can I just wish for better days ahead? pretty please?

Frost Bite

During work a few days ago, I went to a -80 degrees freezer to take out a few samples.. While I was at it, the freezer's door suddenly started closing, so to prevent it from closing, I simply just pushed it with my knuckles.. and guess what I got???

Yea.. You're right.. As the title of this post says, I got a frost bite!! Just so you know, it hurts!! Felt like I practically stuck my hand onto a frying pan on a cooking stove with the fire turned on.. As soon I felt the burning sensation, I immediately, pluck my hand away from the freezer door, but.. to late!! I already burnt myself..

This is how my hand look like after a week of me burning myself.. It took just a split second to cause the harm.. And after a week, it the marks are still there..looks like 3 red spots there right?? I doubt the picture gives the effect of how painful my hand is though.. haha..and it still is..

Oh well, I'm at the very least glad that I do not need to remove my hand as a result of frost bite or gangrene.. XD

Blues?

This is me, juggling between my studies and my job.. haha.. I know I know.. I'm complaining too much.. But I can't really deal with it without complaining.. Guess during the interview when they asked what I'd do when I was over stressed I should have answered "Complaining!!!" =P

This is what I look like.. The snail in my garden.. Only difference being it is moving slowly and I'm improving as slow as it is moving.. well, ok.. probably even more slowly.. geesh..

And this is me, when I'm all carefree and stress-free.. Yea.. Jumping again.. I know I've got lots of jumping pictures.. =P

My friend commented that I somehow manage to find the time to act cute while jumping in the end.. And the whole gang decided to tease me over and over again later.. yikes!!

Gift to get

Gosh, I'm running out of ideas on what to blog about.. Useless huh? Guess so..

In fact, I'm so desprate, I ask my brother what to blog.. and guess what he said? The weather!! THE WEATHER!!! WTF??!

Ok.. Enough of me being lame.. My brain has been filled with what gift to prepare for the past few days for u know who.. I know I know.. its 1 month plus away.. but I can't help it.. Its so freaking hard to get guys their gift.. Gosh.. guys, do you know you are damn lucky? Its so easy to get girls their gifts..

Earings, necklace, handbag, perfume, heels, cloth, ring.. practically anything!!

But for guys.. what can u give them?? Shirt? Pants? Boxers? Shoes? Ties? What else? I don't know what to get!!!


Gosh.. I'm so frustrated.. =(

First Week at Palace of the Golden Horses

First week at Palace of the Golden Horses and I feel so tired, deprived of internet and most of all, deprived of the sun light!! haha..

I have not been in Sime Darby Apprenticeship Programme for a week now.. Soft skill training is.. Well.. To be honest, I learned quite some things about management.. But other than that, its not really all the related to the field of my studies..Guess I'll have to wait for the 11 months on-job training to gain more experience on my related field.. ^^

The hotel is simply marvelous.. so beautiful.. I love the toilet..LOL..

Not much pictures yet though.. I'll update it when I get the chance.. next week maybe.. ^^

So far, I've done a presentation on stage with 500 apprentice watching and learnt how to become a music editor for a short film my group created in less than 3 hours!! I now realise that music editing isn't as easy as it seems.. There's so much to worry about!! For example, during the scenes, when someone slaps another person, we have to add the slapping sound effects, when a person closes the door, we have to add the door sound, car breaking, and everything!!

My group did a short musical film.. So I had to find the right musics for the film, add the cut portions of the song and paste them together and make sure the sound comes on the cue with the mouth movements.. It was very straineous and tiring.. But all of it was worth it cause I had a hell lot of fun and got to make more friends..

Had a terrible back pain after that, due to all the hunching while editing the songs and also running everywhere.. Sime Darby really pushes us to allow us to realise our capabilities.. To push us through our limits and make us better.. I might grumble at times about the programme.. But I truly enjoyed it.. ^^

By the way, our group manage to win 3 awards during the oscar night (yes! Sime Darby had an oscar night for our short film of which was judge by a few well known local actors, actresses, editior and script writers).. The awards obtained were Best Costume Award, Best Supporting Actor award and also Best Performance Award.. Although we didn't win the Best Music or Best Sound awar, I am still very happy and proud of my group.. ^^

Sorry I have no pictures though.. I'll try to get some for other post.. ok? Till then!! ^^

Sime Darby Apprenticeship Programme

Hello everyone,

Just to update you on some stuff. About 2 weeks ago, I went for a walk-in interview for the Sime Darby Apprenticeship Programme and successfully gotten an offer to enter the programme. It is a 12 months programme comprising of 1 month classroom training and 11 months on-job training (R&D).

Currenty, I am an apprentice to Sime Darby and am staying at Palace of the Golden Horses Hotel for the first month.. I have no still no idea where I would be posted for the following 11 months but I really wish that I can get into a research center thats nearer home, preferably PJ.. but who knows.. haha..

They say I would find out my place of work next week though.. Wish me all the best ya? And pray for me!!! ^^

I am now officially employed!!! yay.. for this year la.. XD

Hilarious Conversation About Raisins

Had a conversation with Enson some time back.. Somewhere along the conversation he made me laughed out loud.. It was so funny I decided to share it with you guys..

*Of course I asked for his opinion before I post this =P*

Enson: Do you like to eat raisins?
Me: Not really, how about u?
Enson: Yea.
Me:Oh, I like to eat raisins under certain conditions like: if they are together with cereal and cold milk or with chocolate. I don't like eating them alone though, or with bread or with cake.
Enson: You are so troublesome.
Me: What o? Its like that.. I'm like that..
Enson: So bloody troublesome.
Me: Ish.. What troublesome? Zzz
Me: Everyone has their own eating preference. It doesn't mean all form of food also u would like ma.. right?
Enson: That's ok.. But the part where you don't like eating it alone is unacceptable..
Me: Why? (Suddenly everything became clear)
Me: LOL! I don't like eating raisins alone means I don't like eating raisins on its own you know? I don't mean I don't like eating raising without people accompanying me..
Enson: Ceh.. Misunderstood.. Sorry lur..

Updates

gosh.. I'm like on a long holiday now.. Not working, not studying.. I feel guilty about it.. and.. at the same time, enjoying every moment of it!!!

Die la die la.. I don't have the mood to study or work.. I just feel like sitting at home everyday!! Zzz..useless child betul..

Anyway, now for some updates of me.. My problems as u guys can see from the previous few posts, I've come to a decision.. I don't wanna think about it anymore.. So don't push me.. thank you..

Secondly, I have watched quite a number of movies.. These are the following:

Light and easy, musical kind of movie.. I like it a lot.. ^^

Light and easy too.. Hilarious.. Had a good time laughing.. Really love the show.. and the company too.. XD

Gosh, this movie sucks.. Sorry guys.. But I think its a disappointment.. don't even bother watching it pls... Zzz

Some updates..

Been studying really REALLY "hard" for Genomics and Bioinformatics for the past few days.. That explains my absents.. Trying to concentrate as much as I can, without my mind drifting to some far away land.. Trying my best to not wonder why the changes occured and how it even came to be..

Studying hard really isn't easy.. Especially when u are trying to study something like Genomics.. Have been trying different ways to get myself to concentrate and to not much avail..

these ar my "ka changs" for my exam preparations.. =P

Haha.. anyway, thats about some of my updates for now.. My finals will be starting this coming Monday and would be ending on the 11tn May.. Marking the END of my Degree Studies.. really can't believe it..

Mixture of stuffs

Finally handed in my Thesis and presentented my final year project to a panel of monsters..

So glad that has finally come to an end..

Now I just have to focus on my finals.. Which apparently I can't seem to do so.. My heart is so uneasy.. gosh.. Help me!! >.<

Weight Lost Progression

Continuation of Friday 13th

Some of the superstition story said that,

I wonder if you guys realised.. Yesterday was 13th Friday, a mark of an unlucky day..

It has been a widely known superstition for a long time now.. Some people have this mistaken idead that this supersition was passed down through christianity.. It is of course not..

There have been incredible findings found that on Friday the 13th, fewer people chose to drive their cars and that the number of hospital admissions due to vehicular accidents was significantly higher than on "Normal" Fridays. How much higher is significantly higher? It is said that a total of 52 % more accidents happen on 13th Friday.

LEGEND HAS IT: If 13 people sit down to dinner together, one will die within the year. The Turks so disliked the number 13 that it was practically expunged from their vocabulary (Brewer, 1894). Many cities do not have a 13th Street or a 13th Avenue. Many buildings don't have a 13th floor. If you have 13 letters in your name, you will have the devil's luck (Jack the Ripper, Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Theodore Bundy and Albert De Salvo all have 13 letters in their names). There are 13 witches in a coven.
