Cynthia's Farewell

Went to KLIA today to sent Cynthia of to London. Oh, she’s on her way now to the far away land. I’d like to introduce Cynthia to you guys.

Knew Cynthia when I first got into KTAR to study my foundation course. She was my roommate back then. When I first entered the room, my heart was like, omg.. never got to know her till 2 weeks later when she finally returned the hostel room we shared together.
Throughout my stay at hostel, I got to know Cynthia better, shared lots of my troubles and life stories with her, introduced her to my friends, got her to mix around with our gang that call ourselves “Kutumalam Gang” and got her to become more open to us (before that she was a real quite person.)
Time went by and we finished pre-U and had to moved out from hostel. That was when we had to say goodbye to Cynthia and a few more Kutumalam members and left for the rented house that I now live in.
Ironically, one year later, one of my housemate which is also a member of the Kutumalam Gang had a vacant in her room and Cynthia became her roommate and also my housemate. Haha.. And today, she is about to leave Malaysia and fly to London to finish up her advanced diploma. We went all the way to KLIA to meet her up. (hehe.. I played a role in leading my friend to KLIA. Not bad huh? XD) Chat with her a little, played with her niece, talked to her parents and sent her off to the plane. We were followed her right till the end where we couldn’t anymore. For those who went to KLIA before, you should know what I’m talking about. There is this place where after people go down the escalator towards the international departure area, you can’t follow them anymore. You can just follow from on top through a glass sealed area. We were screaming her name and banging on the glass like some baboon.. XD at first she never noticed us, but right before it was too late, probably cz we shouted too loud, she turned up and looked at us and we got to say our final goodbye to her before she left for London.
These are some of the pictures we took there. I’ll upload it once I get them from the gang.. ^^

Pool and Snooker..

Played pool for the first time in my life today. Kavin and Brinda was teaching me how to hold the stick and aiming for the ball and poking it.. Had a really fun time learning. Haha.. manage to put some balls into the pocket on my first game of pool (that’s actually because I played snooker once a few day back. hehe.. ) I feel I improved a lot although I’m still a rookie and a noobie.. XD
Never took any pictures!!! Argh..something I truly regret.. XD
Nevertheless, I’d like to let everyone know I actually played both snooker and pool once!!! XD
Really interesting game and its not that expensive.. hehe.. do go and check it out ya?? Haha

Outing With An Old Friend

Last night we went to meet an old friend from pre-u time. He left for matriculation after about 2 weeks of lesson. We went to this place at uptown 5 located nearby the old Fajar at Damansara Utama. The restaurant was called Nailiis. They used the concept of a tree house type. A really beautiful place, kinda make u feel like an oasis because its located right in the middle of the city yet its so cooling and calming and relaxing. Although the food is not that cheap but the place itself was quite interesting. I recommend it.. Do go and check it out.. ^^

One of the lights in the tree house

Lucky or Unlucky??

University is about to start tomorrow and so I decided to get back to my rented place to do some tidying and cleaning before the whole hectic process starts over again.

Reached my rented place at around 12 something, got my mattress and pillow down to be “sun bathed” in the lawn while I did some washing up. At about 2 something, when I went to check out my bed, I saw this big disgusting thing on my mattress!! Omg.. used a branch and poked at it. Thank God it wasn’t that soft and blew it off my mattress. Then, I took Dettol to wash of the stain. Sad to say though, the shit smell won’t budge. -.-

Later at about 3 something, the sky turned a grayish colour and so I decided to collect my stuff, went in to the lawn only to realize that my pillow was on the ground!!! Omg.. I picked it up and dust it. Again, thank God it didn’t have any stain.

At the end of the day, I have one mattress that sting more than before I “sun bath” it, a pillow dirtier than before I “sun bath” it and a wet comforter that can’t dry in time because it begin to rain!!! All my effort and work was wasted!!! In Chinese, I think we can call what I did the whole day 多指一举 . Instead of making something better, I made something worst!! Again, I think in chinese we can call that弄巧反作. (if got typo error, don’t kill me ya?? Chinese writing getting sucky liao.. >.<) Argh!! What an unlucky day!!!

Addition/Edtion of Blog

As most of you guys know, I have recently changed to this blog and it really was quite empty at first. And honestly speaking, I didn't really care all that much at first because this place is where I want to show myself and also to share stuff I would like. But then, during the holidays as I was browsing through the internet, I stumbled upon a website that had quite a few interesting background and i decided, hey, why not spike things up and make it a little bit more interesting and so i found a background I really liked and decided to put it on the blog.

Sadly, as I was looking through the html, I really couldn't remember where or how to add the stupid background into my blog. I learnt web page design during my pre-u and now I can't remember anything!! >.<>.<)

Anyway, the next day came and I decided to add yet some more stuffs. Continued to view blogs (this time only friends of mine ya.. XD) and got more ideas. I added a small thing above my hit counter that detects how many people are in this blog and I changed my cursor to a butterfly that changes its shape and colour and also added monkey in!! (hehe..haven’t name monkey yet, any ideas?? I’m so lousy at these sort of things..haha)

Well, for now, at least for this holiday, my decorating blog craze ends here. I will continue to try and improve and make my blog nicer but not so soon and frequent anymore as my holidays has come to an end. I will try to blog more frequent than I had in the pass with my previous blogs and I’ll try to be erm.. less long winded. XD hope you guys enjoy and if there’s any comments or anything, you are always free to leave it here or in the chatter box. Thanks all of you.. ^^

Triangle of Life

A piece of article i find most intriguing. Thought I'd share it with you guys. I know we don't have earthquakes here, but it is a good thing to learn and as the saying goes - prevention is better than cure. ^^ enjoy..

EXTRACT FROM DOUG COPP'S ARTICLE ON THE: 'TRIANGLE OF LIFE'

My name is Doug Copp. I am the Rescue Chief and Disaster Manager of the American Rescue Team International (ARTI), the world's most experienced rescue team. The information in this article will save lives in an earthquake.

I have crawled inside 875 collapsed buildings, worked with rescue teams from 60 countries, founded rescue teams in several countries, and I am a member of many rescue teams from many countries.

I was the United Nations expert in Disaster Mitigation for two years. I have worked at every major disaster in the world since 1985, except for simultaneous disasters.

The first building I ever crawled inside of was a school in Mexico City during the 1985 earthquake. Every child was under its desk. Every child was crushed to the thickness of their bones. They could have survived by lying down next to their desks in the aisles. It was obscene, unnecessary and I wondered why the children were not in the aisles. I didn't at the time
know that the children were told to hide under something.

Simply stated, when buildings collapse, the weight of the ceilings falling upon the objects or furniture inside crushes these objects, leaving a space or void next to them. This space is what I call the 'triangle of life'. The larger the object, the stronger, the less it will compact. The less the object compacts, the larger the void, the greater the probability that the person who is using this void for safety will not be injured. The next time you watch collapsed buildings, on television, count the 'triangles' you see formed. They are everywhere. It is the most common shape, you will see, in a collapsed building.

TIPS FOR EARTHQUAKE SAFETY

1) Most everyone who simply 'ducks and covers' WHEN BUILDINGS COLLAPSE are crushed to death. People who get under objects, like desks or cars, are crushed.

2) Cats, dogs and babies often naturally curl up in the fetal position. You should too in an earthquake. It is a natural safety/survival instinct. You can survive in a smaller void. Get next to an object, next to a sofa, next to a large bulky object that will compress slightly but leave a void next to it.

3) Wooden buildings are the safest type of construction to be in during an earthquake. Wood is flexible and moves with the force of the earthquake. If the wooden building does collapse, large survival voids are created. Also, the wooden building has less concentrated, crushing weight. Brick buildings will break into individual bricks. Bricks will cause many injuries but less squashed bodies than concrete slabs.

4) If you are in bed during the night and an earthquake occurs, simply roll off the bed. A safe void will exist around the bed. Hotels can achieve a much greater survival rate in earthquakes, simply by posting a sign on The back of the door of every room telling occupants to lie down on the floor, next to the bottom of the bed during an earthquake.

5) If an earthquake happens and you cannot easily escape by getting out the door or window, then lie down and curl up in the fetal position next to a sofa, or large chair.

6) Most everyone who gets under a doorway when buildings collapse is killed. How? If you stand under a doorway and the doorjamb falls forward or backward you will be crushed by the ceiling above. If the door jam falls sideways you will be cut in half by the doorway. In either case, you will be killed!

7) Never go to the stairs. The stairs have a different 'moment of frequency' (they swing separately from the main part of the building). The stairs and remainder of the building continuously bump into each other until structural failure of the stairs takes place. The people who get on stairs before they fail are chopped up by the stair treads - horribly
mutilated. Even if the building doesn't collapse, stay away from the stairs. The stairs are a likely part of the building to be damaged. Even if the stairs are not collapsed by the earthquake, they may collapse later when overloaded by fleeing people. They should always be checked for safety, even when the rest of the building is not damaged.

8) Get Near the Outer Walls Of Buildings Or Outside Of Them If Possible - It is much better to be near the outside of the building rather than the interior. The farther inside you are from the outside perimeter of the building the greater the probability that your escape route will be
blocked.

9) People inside of their vehicles are crushed when the road above falls in an earthquake and crushes their vehicles; which is exactly what happened with the slabs between the decks of the Nimitz Freeway. The victims of the San Francisco earthquake all stayed inside of their vehicles. They were all killed. They could have easily survived by getting out and sitting or lying next to their vehicles. Everyone killed would have survived if they had been able to get out of their cars and sit or lie next to them. All the crushed cars had voids 3 feet high next to them, except for the cars that had columns fall directly across them.

10) I discovered, while crawling inside of collapsed newspaper offices and other offices with a lot of paper, that paper does not compact. Large voids are found surrounding stacks of paper. pread the word and save someone's life... The Entire world is experiencing natural calamities so be prepared!

'We are but angels with one wing, it takes two to fly'

In 1996 we made a film, which proved my survival methodology to be correct. The Turkish Federal Government, City of Istanbul , University of Istanbul Case Productions and ARTI cooperated to film this practical, scientific test. We collapsed a school and a home with 20 mannequins inside. Ten mannequins did 'duck and cover,' and ten mannequins I used in my
'triangle of life' survival method. After the simulated earthquake collapse we crawled through the rubble and entered the building to film and document the results. The film, in which I practiced my survival techniques under directly observable, scientific conditions , relevant to building collapse, showed there would have been zero percent survival for those doing duck
and cover.

There would likely have been 100 percent survivability for people using my method of the 'triangle of life.' This film has been seen by millions of viewers on television in Turkey and the rest of Europe , and it was seen in the USA , Canada and Latin America on the TV program Real TV

Should I post this or should i not?

i think i failed again, failed to face criticism and to be strong. Why am i so upset? why is this even bothering me? it doesn't matter. As long as i feel it potrays who i really am. Why should i care what other things? this is me, its me!!

i wish i could get a grip. Be strong and not let emotions cloud me as i often do and yet, no matter how much i try, no matter how hard i try, in the end, i still fail to do so.

there were so many things i wanted to hear, maybe a word of praise? if not, then maybe just a small piece of encouragement? or even just an acknowledgement? i know i asked for it, pushed people to let me know their thoughts. I deserved it. I'm so like a child, wanting praise, ever looking for compliment. But is that wrong? I really did try.

Last night i stayed awake til 2am finding the way to make it at least better than it was. In the end i found it and i thought, "wait till they see it tomorrow. they'd surely be surprised". hehe.. but then to my greatest disappointment nobody thought it was great. no one even thought it looked nice.. no one.. not a single one.. everyone didn't like it or thought it was even worth a single compliment. I tried, i really did. But does anyone understand this? hack!! why am i so upset?? it doesn't make sense.

I know i'm not good at this and i just started learning how to use this and therefore i'm nothing compare to others. But it still hurts. It bloody hurts!! why?? is it because i wanted to hear praises? or is it because i thought those i shared with would appreciate it?

I guess I just feel like i'm not being appreciated. I gotta grow up!! i really got to!!! A long long time ago during the LSS i wished to God for the gift of patience i guess i got what i wanted already. But when i talked to my family about it, i noticed they all wished for the gift of wisdom, knowledge, love and so forth. Is my wish dumb or too naive? If i could turn back time, should i wish for the gift of knowledge? or should i wish for the gift of being stronger?

I know my previous paragraph suddenly shot out of no where and doesn't really make any sense but, well, I'm sorry. >.< This post helped me feel better though. ^^

Reasons why i PREFER facebook compared to friendster.. >.<

I've been repeatedly trying to log in to friendster since yesterday and finally got in today!! This is so annoying!! I asked a few of my friends to try and log in. Some could and some couldn't. Wonder why is that? Friendster hate us?? XD
anyway, to show u what i mean, here are some photos as to why i got so frustrated..
swt...

hello!!! i only wanted to type hey.. how's things going.......
and you tell me its not a valid html?? who even said it was a html?? i only typed like normal people do!! yish!!!
on the bright side.. i finally got to log into friendster to change my profile layout. Do go check it out.. ^^ you are free to leave me any comments..hehe

and now.. reasons why i'm so addicted to facebook.. >.< human pets!! weee!! my most favourite application so far. hehe.. noticed the cub?? thats my animal picture. Notice the background? thats my habitat. Notice the picture on top? thats my so called "master" and I'm his pet and notice the bellow 4 pictures? those are my 4 most active pets!! hehe.. my pets and owner always "feed me" and "give me stuff". Its like meeting new friends there and some of the people are ever so nice!! hehe.. (p/s: i'm worth 165375 here.. XD)

now this is my fluffy pet that i take to race. hehe.. although it might be only a squirrel, but it's running speed is 277pfh!! hehe.. thanks to those nice people that feed it and also pet it. As mentoned, the background is it's habitat.

now this application is known as owned. You post pictures up and people bid on them. Those small pictures u see there are pictures that i bid on and some are gifts from friends. And as u can see, i'm worth 16,084,883!! hehe.. expensive eih?? XD

on the other hand, this application is known as friends for sale. You buy your friends and keep them. I'm kind of new to this so i don't really know how it functions but then again, i'm worth 41,458.. haha..
oh..and this is another of my favourite. I get to play sodoku when i log into facebook!! hehe..

well, as you can see, facebook has many more applications as compared to friendster. This are just the few that i prefer. There are lots more applications like vampire, slayer, pirates, hugs, water fights and so on. I'm not trying to brainwash you into joining or anything. Its just why i enjoy playing facebook more.. ^^

Internet problem?

Whats wrong with the internet?? For the pass few days, MSN has been continuously signing in and out for no particular reasons. All my message sending fails. People that are signed in appear offline even though they placed their status as appear online and so on. I am forced to use web messengers at times!!

Not only that, I realized today that I can't even sign in my bloody friendster!! Don't just mention signing in friendster, I can't even open that web page. What is going on? Is streamyx getting faulty or is there some kind of disturbance? OR is it my own problem? What is happening? Did the earthquake from China affect the internet access over here again?

Gosh.. I do hope this problem is quickly solved. I never realized how much I relied on the internet until today.. >.<

* Lucky Seven *

A dog of mine named Lessie gave birth to 7 dogs approximately a month ago. We are planning to give them away as taking care of 9 dogs its not exactly easy and its costly.

Here's some pictures for you guys to see.. ^^

my dog got some papers from don't know where to make up this mess for her puppies to live in

they are all so adorable and all very good pets. I really enjoy their company in my house.. ^^ unfortunately i can't keep them due to the above mentioned reasons. Anyone wants a puppy? Feel free to let me know.

Sick Guy.. >.<

This is something i read a few weeks back.. decided to share this with those that still don't know about this case.

This sick guy named Josef Fritzl from Austria had sexually abused and raped his daugther Elisabeth fritzl for 24 years since 1984!! he held her captive in a basement of the family home. They had 7 kids under that basement!! 2 of which were brought up into the house due to health reasons and the mother never once doubt the father or the wereabout of her child!!! all her kids that lived under the basement had never seen day light nor have they ever seen the outside world. The most saddening part is, they can't even speak proper human language, its mixed with grawling noises!! omg.. can u believe how this sick Fritzl guy destroyed the life of his daughther and his 7 children aka grandchildren?? he is one sick guy that should never be given the chance to face the earth again!!

and if its not enough, he was cought a long time back for raping a woman and was sent to prison. But this didn't stop him. When he returned, he decided to rape his own flesh and blood instead. One hell of a sick guy i tell you. I believe that this sex maniac should be hanged, shot to death, electrocuted..whatever it takes.. they don't deserve a chance to live!! how could they do this?? Its his own child for God's sake!!!

really, i'm sick of this guy. here ----> Josef Fritzl check out this link for more details.

here's an image of him.. >.<
and Elisabeth.. so beautiful.. her future, destroyed by her own father!! gosh.. im so pissed.. sick guy..

Religion (part 2)

haha..this is getting somewhat amusing. my friend actually replied in his blog on my topic about the religion..well, i'd like to say..i agree with you..

p/s: for those who are not open about this topic leave now and do not read it. If you wish to read it then do not get angry about it. I am only stating my views. YOU ARE FOREWARNED!!

but i still have to point out that.. those that can't eat pork isn't because pork is bad but because pork used to have a bacteria living in them that could not be killed even in high temperature.. to this day, this fact remains the same and most Chinese, unfortunately, have this bacteria in their liver..as for beef, its because most view them either as sacred or to express thankfulness and in doing so, not consume them..

but i do agree on one thing..those people that says their religion is better and that if u don't follow them you will go to hell..i say this to them.. you go to hell!! =P
it is God who decides who goes to heaven and who goes to hell not YOU and plus, heaven is for good people not for people who judge and make assumptions of God's way of work. For Christians that made the statement i suggest u REREAD the bible and this time please read it properly as for the other religion, I cannot comment, but perhaps, my friend has something to say?? XD

Falling through love

Read this from the forum on the topic "do you love someone" in human pets (an application in facebook) and i thought it was quite good and so i decided to post it up here. anyone, do feel free to add in your comments. i'm open for all comments. ^^

Galvean :
well to me having a crush is a good thing
but falling in love is so hard to come by and falling through love is 1 painful thing..

Katherine (me):
its good to not fall in love easily to a certain extend so that u dun easily fall in and out of love. well falling through love is painful but if u had never fallen in love u wouldn't know how it feels and i suppose the pain is well, worth it?? but ofcz if u dun have to experience d pain, that would be much more preferred.. >.<

Belinda:
It is worth it anytime if it's the I love you, you love me situation. A love without pain ain't love anymore.
Sometimes even if both love one another, it is still not possible to happen cuz of unforseen circumstances.
The most torturous thing would be not being able to love.

Genting Trip ^^

Went up to genting on wednesday (13/5) to spend some time with him as he would be going off for uni soon (to where i'm still not sure.) I would definitely miss him, no doubt, and so i wish to see him more before he leaves.

these are some of the pictures we took on the way up to genting in the cable car.

the mist was really strong that day, half portraying my worries thats clouding my brightness and yet i still felt happy because i was where i wanted to be. anyway, as i was saying, the mist was so thick most the outdoor theme park games were closed. luckily for us we didn't plan on going for the theme park but instead the buffet at terrace cafe. a well made decision i believe.. ^^ the meal was great!! superb!!

look at how misty it was!!! >.<
these are some of the dishes we actually remembered capturing before we ate them.. the desserts.. XD

we also took some pictures around the cafe.

i had an amazing time at genting and it will always be in my heart forever. A worth remembering trip. hope we can have a trip like that some time again. ^^
i know i didn't type much for this blog but i believe that a picture says a thousand words. =P

here are some of the pictures i took in my previous genting trip and the this genting trip. I think i gain weight. >.<
