Road Trip with My Broadband

This is a really hard topic.. =(

Well, I don't have a broadband so this is a If I have a broadband post..
XD

So here we go.. If I had a broadband, I would definitely bring my broadband along during a road trip.

For example,

I'd bring it along with me to
Penang, or any other road trips I am on..so that I can upload my blog post while I'm there.. and not have to wait till I reach back home..

I would also bring it to work ("road trip" Lmao)..

So that I can update my blog/
facebook/ twitter at anytime of the day.. (my office blocks all these access u see) XD

The point is, having a broadband whereby u could bring it along during road trips or whatsoever is a really good thing..especially for
bloggers or facebook addict..that way, you will be able to keep yourself updated and will be able to constantly do what u like (blogging or etc.)

Therefore, if anyone is willing, could you please buy me this cute and tinny
WIGGY?? I'd be most glad to be able to update my blog on the go during my road trips!! buy 1 for me ya?? =D

Sorry that my post isn't as expressive and long winded as it usually is.. I'm sort of suffering with pain while I'm writing this now.. =S

Anyway, take a look at
eps 8 to 10 of project alpha season 2 videos i posted below.. hope u enjoy them.. =D

The actual Getsby Event!!!

Was invited by Khai Lin aka Blueaholic to join the Getsby Street Fair and so I thought, why not I join the competition for this Join the Gatsby Deodorant Street Fair and Win Awesome Prizes! Anyway, lets just skip the boring story..
Khai Lin and me in our initial clothing before we changed into our Getsby T-shirt
All ready and dressed up in Getsby T-shirt! =D
Thanks for the invitation babe! Had a great time with the games and got quite a few goodies in the end.. hehe
My turn to post for a photo.. XD

This is just one of the games we played..The lady with the bluish white Getsby T-shirt is getting ready the cans for me to hit down.. And I'm getting myself ready to hit all her hard work (the nicely placed cans) down..
Off I go with my American foot ball.. =D
And I SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wahahahahahhahaaaaaaaaa
You've seen the usual bowling game, with the normal oh so boring bowling alley and that heavy bowling ball.. Here is the Getsby version!! Short bowling lane, with wooden pins and a coconut!! Yea, your eyes aren't getting fuzzy, it is a coconut!! =D

Actually, I quite kesian (kesian meaning pity) those Getsby "game station master" lor.. They have to rearrange the pints, or cans and even balloons over and over again, just for us to smash it back onto the ground and they go and pick it up again.. And if so happens one of the ball rolls far far away, they have to chase after it and come back to us again.. Thumbs up for their superb job done!

This is one of the game that I'm best at..
You have to guess which hole has a Getsby Deodorant behind.. I managed to guess the right hole 4 times out of 6 in my first guess!! Lucky day, I must say.. hehe

After all the hard work at earning points, of course we must redeem it with Getsby product mar..
People at the redemption counter..
She wont a total of 32 points!!
I won a total of 40 points!! seriously unbelievable lor..
Me, looking carefully at the leaflet to choose what I should redeem..
And this, this is what me and Khai Lin redeemed in the end.. =D
not bad for a days of "hard work" huh??

Happy!!!

My Version of Grooming Tips

Its all about grooming. When we are to present ourselves to our bosses, or before we step up the stage for a presentation, or even before we meet up with friends or our boyfriend/girlfriend, the most important thing is to properly groom ourselves.

How do we do that?

First and farmost, we are suppose to choose the right outfit for the right occasion. For example, it is not right to wear bright and cheerful colours to a funeral (this applies mostly for Asian culture).

Secondly, we have to use the right amount/type of make up (for girls) and style our hair according to occasions.

Foot apparels are equally important. We cannot wear, lets say for example, slippers for a presentation! Imagine if you do that, all bosses will stare at u!! o.O

While most might not notice, another important tip for grooming is the way you smell!! Yes, believe or not, you have to smell at the very least, pleasent enough to attract wanted attention. Try smelling like a sweaty pig and see if anyone gets impressed by you!!

So, be sure to be wise at shoosing the right scent for yourself. One that shows your identity and also attracts your wanted attention.

NOt sure what to choose? Well, you could choose from the range of Adidas Action 3 that I have been promoting weeks after weeks now!!

Thats right!! There is a total of 6 different scents: pro clear, intensive, sensitive, pure. fresh and control!
Be sure to choose the right one.. I'm positive one of it is right for u.. ^^

Finally, we have to, in the case of a persentation or a more formal occasion, to reherse what to or not to say. In other words, we must be mentally well prepared! =D

Most stupid thing I've ever seen..

Long time since I blog.. Miss me?? Just thought of sharing something stupid that I encountered a few days ago.. Situation was like this:

Me and a friend of mine drove to the hospital for medical check up.

At the parking entrance, we saw this car in front of us. He drove quite near to the pole and waited there.
We started wondering, is his car too far away from the ticket machine?

As if answering us, he started to reverse his car.. We obediently reversed to give him space. To my greatest amazement, he reversed and then turned his car to the left and drove forward!!
Trying to get through the small hole between the wall and the pole!

I nearly fainted!!

Then I saw him reversed again, and ended up even further from the ticket machine..

After awhile, he got down the car and started twisting his palm (showing the no sign with his hand gesture) at us.

Deciding to find out if the ticket machine was spoiled, I got down the car to see what happened.

Guess what?

With his frustrated looking face, he told me that the pole just wouldn't open!!

I told him, you have to press the yellow button there and a ticket will come out!!

He said, nono, the pole won't go up!!

I said, just press the button!!!

He looked at the machine and as though looking at it for the first time, squinted his eyes at the yellow button before finally taking in my words and pressing the button..

Magically, the pole went up and he could now proceed to move away so that we can enter the parking lot!!! WTH??

No Strings Attached

No Strings Attached - the second album by 'N Sync. An album that I've loved so much and will always remember! Why am I suddenly talking about this album again? Well, you've guessed it. Its because its Monday again, and I'm off to post another one of my post about Project Alpha's Instant Cash Blogging!
In today's world of advance technology, we have so many available devices that we can bring with us on the go. Things that were once attached are seemingly "cordless" and could be brought to wherever you want! The most obvious device we can refer to is our handphones. Long ago, only telephones existed. We could not walk around the house while we were on the phone. Or even if we could, lets say, if the phone cord was long enough,

we might end up tangling ourselves with the telephone cords or

wind up tangling the phone cord itself!

Then they invented cordless phones.. But then again, you couldn't take your cordless phone for a jog, or go shopping with it. Finally, they created mobile phones thus solving all these "attached" issues. =D

Another thing is, the internet access. Most of us have internet connections that are fixed to land lines. And more often than not, the computer is connected to a modem which is in turn connected to the phone line by cables. These posses a problem, whereby, we can not get internet connection out of the house and it would be a real hassle just to get internet access both upstairs and downstairs! Sure there are wireless connections available, but how far away from the modem could you be and still sustain a good connection line?

Then P1 wimax came up with a solution. They invented this!!

Now you can bring your laptop everywhere and still get to go online! Best part of all, you don't need a phone line for it! And to top it up with some icing, P1 W1max comes with fast speed connection of up to 10mbps!!! Hurry and get one!! =)

Love World Love Sloggi

So today's topic is about love. Love is one of the most heated topic among adolescents as well as among the adults. The love topic I am referring to is of course about the "romance kind of love". ;)

For me, I love it when I receive gifts he made for me
My own leather handphone holder!! Unbelievable huh? He sew it!! Muacks!

And another one of his creations..
A closer up picture below!!
I love it when he calls me just to hear my voice when we are far apart physically.

I love it when he tries to cheer me up after we had a roll.

But thats not the only kind of love that exists. If you open your eyes a little bit more, remember to listen to the sounds around you, and find out what was that wonderful scent you breath a moment ago, You'd realise that nature itself is something to be loved!

For me, I love it when it rains heavily
When the sound of rain splattering on the grown drowns off the sound pollution of the city we live in and the smell of rain.. oh so refreshing!

I love a stroll at the beach as the sun rises.
I love the trees that shades us from the hot sun during the afternoon!

Like many girls, I love shopping! And what I like best is to buy apparels that are comfy and long lasting. This brings me to one of a more intimate sort of apparel, you are right, by intimate, I meant undergarments. Undergarments has to be comfortable, it mustn't be too tight, it must be gentle to the skin, etc. One of the comfy brands there is, is Sloggi!

And to make this brand even more appealing for choice is that their Spring 2010
is produced by ecologically friendly fabrics! Talk about saving planet earth and wearing really great undergarments at the same time! Thats like killing two birds with one stone.

Initially when I first heard about the Love World Love Sloggi concept, I had an impression that the bras and briefs were going to be made out of papers!

Something like this! O.o
*picture taken from the internet..
Anyway, to my greatest delight, they weren't made that way.Their Spring 2010 are made out of 90% Polyester (yarn material is produced from 100% recycled plastic bottles) 10% Elastane. They come in yellow green, orangy pink and grey brown or black. Quite a nice design I should say. I like the design. You can have a look at it here

So the next time someone asks you if you did anything at all to help save the environment, you can stand up tall and proud, jut your boobs and butt out and say, "well, I bought Sloggi's Love world Love Sloggi collection! Just kidding about the jutting part though. ;)

Son Sues Mother for Hacking Facebook Account!

Cited from CNet news:
(for those who are lazy to read the whole thing, I have highlighted some main points in red. Hope that its sufficient to understand. )

ASSOCIATED PRESS WRITER

The mother of a 16-year-old boy said she was only being a good mom when she locked him out of his Facebook account after reading he had driven home at 95 mph one night because he was mad at a girl. His response: a harassment complaint at the local courthouse.

"If I'm found guilty on this it is going to be open season" on parents, Denise New said Wednesday.

New, of Arkadelphia, a small college town an hour southwest of Little Rock, said many of her son's postings didn't reflect well on him, so after he failed to log off the social networking site one day last month, she posted her own items on his account and changed his password to keep him from using it again. But her son claims what she posted wasn't true, and that she's damaging his reputation.

"The things he was posting in Facebook would make any decent parent's eyes pop out and his jaw drop," Denise New said. "He had been warned before about things he had been posting."

Lane New, who lives with his grandmother, filed a complaint with prosecutors who approved a harassment charge March 26. Neither New would say Wednesday which items on his Facebook site the boy had found slanderous.

"I probably made maybe three, maybe four actual postings - the rest of it was a conversation between my son, me and his personal friends," Denise New said.

In his handwritten complaint to prosecutors, Lane New asked that his mother have no contact with him and wrote, "Denise first hacked my Facebook and changed my password. She also changed the password to my e-mail so I could not change it. She posted things that involve slander and personal facts about my life."

Denise New acknowledged changing both passwords to keep her son from getting access to his Facebook page. She denied hacking into the account.

"He left it logged in on my computer," she said. "It's not like I stole his laptop."

Denise New said the boy had written on his Facebook page that he had gone to Hot Springs one night and drove 95 mph on the way home because he was upset with a girl. Several other posts on his site also bothered her, but she refused to elaborate.

She said he has since opened a new Facebook account.

Prosecutor Todd Turner declined to comment because the boy is a minor. His office issued a statement later saying the woman's alleged statements about her son justified the harassment charge - though he would not describe the comments.

Denise New said Lane moved in with his grandmother about five years ago, after she went through a difficult divorce, was having mental health problems and didn't feel she could provide her son with the supervision he needed.

She faces a hearing on the misdemeanor at the Clark County Courthouse on May 12.

I was rather shock when I heard the news on TV. Because, personally, I feel that parents have the rights to control their children. If their children act of using Facebook is affecting their well being (in terms of health or studies or anything on such note) then I believe parents have the right to take actions. As for banning, the topic is really much up to individual's opinion.

Unfortunately, after reading the above article, I realise that this case wasn't like what I thought it was.

Correct me if I am wrong,
  1. Her point of banning him from facebook is what? To stop him from posting worrying things on facebook? What good will that do if he continues to do those worrying things but does not post or talk about it to anyone?
  2. Why is she posting her own stuff on her son's Facebook? o.O
  3. Son is suing his own mother for something like Facebook? o.O
  4. Don't you think both of them are kind of overreacting?
p/s: Everything stated in this post excluding the article I sited from CNet news is based on my own personal opinion. I have no intention of judging or siding any sides. I merely just feel like sharing my point of view with my readers. Fee free to leave a comment.

Unlucky Day

I am not sure how many of you know what a HPLC is, but last week was one of the most "omg, not this!" situation I faced.

To let you understand my situation, lets start with a brief introduction:

My senior discussed with me and we decided to rerun ALL the samples that we have collected so far using HPLC. I then checked for available slots and realised that the only slot available was after 4pm on Friday. I began weighing all samples on Wednesday, and because the number of samples were so huge! I ended up preparing them the whole day!

On Thursday, I prepared a total of 6 L of mobile phase which I should tell you, required quite an amount of energy (not that I'm complaining). The problem was on Friday, I took the whole day dissolving my samples, and when I'm finally done and prepared to run HPLC, it was nearly time to rush to church (last week was Good Friday you see). I wait patiently as I watched the HPLC run and to my biggest dismay, after running about 10 minutes or so, the damn thing suddenly had an alert beep with the screen displaying "Lamp Failure"!! o.O

OMG!! I tried restarting, I tried rerun, it all didn't work. I had no choice but to call my sister up, told her not to wait for me and head to church first while I rushed to clean and stop the HPLC.

At the end, I was totally exhausted (because I fast for Good Friday, rushed to start and then STOP the HPLC, and ran like mad to get into the car to rushed to church). As if this is not enough, the bloody road was packed jam! The cars barely moved!! WTF? And so, you guessed it, I was late to church as well. What a day man, what a day. (T___T)

p/s: I hate HPLC!!! Grrrr..

If I am Ip Man Master, I would...

Thats right! If I am Ip Man Master, I would..
Take it at heart to improve my balancing skills so that I will not look like the picture above again when I try to balance on a rock!
I would practice my kung fu with friends! A few could do Wing Chun, while those interested in the western style could do a little bit of boxing!! ;)
I would combine nature with my kung fu practice zones for better health and tranquillity =D

I would create a strong inner strength and still keep a slender body and would be able to carry man as tall and big as Hun Wei (the one dangling on my arms) while smiling and posing for a photo.
I would master the art of Qing Gong and be able to jump up high in the air and land back onto the ground light and gracefully.
I would stop big bullies like the picture above from bullying the vulnerable.
And I would spend some extra time with friends pondering about more kung fu moves that we could come up with. =D

My Favourite Sport

Sports is essential for life.We cannot like one of my friends said, "starve to lose weight". We need a proportional amount of exercise to keep us healthy and in shape. There are a number of sports that I love engaging myself in. Of them, the top three are:

Number 3
Running.
I love the way the air breeze passes my face as I run. I enjoy listening to the sound of my rhythmic footsteps, breath and heart beat. I like the way running can make me tune out the world, like there is only me and the track path. Such serene and tranquility.

Number 2
Basketball

I love the thrill of stealing away a ball from the opponent. I especially like the rush I get when I score at a particular critical moment.I enjoy the idea of cooking up a plan with my team mates and knocking our opponents off.

Number 1
Dancing

This is my favourite sport of all. With every drop of sweat, I improve in my dancing skills. Because I've started dancing when at the age of 6, I have no fear on stage. I can show confidence to audiences even though in reality I'm afraid, show joy even though my feet is sore from dancing and show elegance from dance movements. I can pick up dance steps quickly and remember them as well.

Sad to say though, nowadays I've got not much chance to play basketball or dance. I'd really love to have that chance again. Oh well, for those of you active in sports, I'd like to promote this to you again.
