My Message to AIDSAware

To all those people out there that still do not know much about the killer AIDS, I believe that you should take this time to read the following post regarding AIDS.

According to Wikipedia,

Acquired immune deficiency syndrome or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a disease of the human immune system caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

This condition progressively reduces the effectiveness of the immune system and leaves individuals susceptible to opportunistic infections and tumors. HIV is transmitted through direct contact of a mucous membrane or the bloodstream with a bodily fluid containing HIV, such as blood, semen, vaginal fluid, preseminal fluid, and breast milk.

This transmission can involve anal, vaginal or oral sex, blood transfusion, contaminated hypodermic needles, exchange between mother and baby during pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding or other exposure to one of the above bodily fluids.

AIDS isn't a disease that can be taken lightly. The amount of people contracting this disease is increasing as years goes by. If nothing is done, the situation might become out of control! Therefore, awareness of the serious-ness of AIDS should be made to all people! Imagine children that lost their parents due to AIDS? They become homeless, never knowing what its like to have a mother or a father? And even more sadly, they themselves, who have done nothing wrong, might have contracted this disease by their parents. Is it fair that they die because of the fault of others? The answer is no!!

In this AIDS awareness post, I hope to make people realise the danger of AIDS and would take better precautionary steps and exercise abstinence be it sex or taking drugs. Hopefully one day the world could bring the number of people contracting AIDS to a much smaller number!!

Having increased AIDS awareness in the society will definitely help decrease the spreading of AIDS!!

Prevent AIDS, create a AIDS free society!!
