Sanbanto

2 really sweet friends brought me here for a surprise birthday dinner..

The place is called Sanbanto.. Food here are all cooked with pork.. And I dare say, the food is marvellous.. Unfortunately though, its non-halal..

Anyhow, this restaurant is located at SS2 opposite "wai sek gai".. Price range is somewhere around 10s to 30s depending on what you order.. But I dare say, its worth at the very least, a try.. ;)

We ordered four main dishes and shared among ourselves..
Pork stake
They had 2 slices of pork, one lean and the other the famous three layer pork.. And I must compliment the delicious tasting mashed potatoes..
Next we have the pork salad..
As you can see, there is fried pork with the very common salad.. I have to point out that the shiny liquid that you can see all over the tomatoes and pork is actually honey that was served together with this dish.. A good combination!
Thirdly, the cheese pork ball..
Its name describes it all.. Cheesy.. and porky!! =P
I love cheese.. So its impossible to say it doesn't taste heavenly to me!!
Next, we have the pork burger..
Now this picture doesn't show the meat they placed in the burger so I'll have to explain.. They placed pork petite and a nice juicy slice of beacon together with lettuce, tomatoes and my all time favourite - cheese! Side dish includes a small bowl of salad topped with honey and some fries..

After that, we still managed to squeeze the only two desserts that this restaurant has into our bellies.. =D
On the left, we have a milky custard-like delight with some strawberry flavour, which, tastes extremely filling while the one on the right is a very sweet mango, which softens the very much filling effect of the custard-like dish.
Next, we had a chocolate cake with vanilla ice-cream. Chocolate was really rich and warm..
A mixture of both warm and cold on the same plate.. Another interesting combination, don't you think so? =D
